Head of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships

As Head of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, you’ll lead Go Vocal’s international growth, shape go-to-market strategies, and build a strong global brand to bring Go Vocal to 1,000+ cities within 3 years. Key responsibilities include:

  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Growth:

    • Develop and implement GTM playbooks for key regions like the US.

    • Scale lead generation through digital campaigns, partnerships, and content marketing.

    • Cultivate strategic partnerships with municipal associations and stakeholders to unlock new distribution channels.

  • Build an Impactful Global Brand:

    • Position Go Vocal as a thought leader in participatory democracy through storytelling, events, and media.

    • Refine brand messaging and visual identity to ensure consistency across markets.

    • Highlight Go Vocal’s impact with creative campaigns and success stories from government partners.

  • Inspire and Lead the Team:

    • Empower a five-person marketing team, fostering creativity, growth, and purpose.

    • Collaborate across teams, including Country Managers, Sales, Product, and GovSuccess, to align strategies.

    • Define and track key performance metrics, using data insights to optimize strategies with the CEO.

Job requirements

What do we expect from you?

We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on marketing leader who can drive go-to-market success. You thrive in a small, agile team with a strong bias for action. You are curious, open-minded and passionate about digital democracy. Here’s what will make you a great fit:

  • You have 5+ years of hands-on experience working in marketing or growth. You have over 4+ years of experience in building and leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration by leveraging individual strengths.

  • You have demonstrable experience or a strong desire to work with the (US) public sector, can strongly relate to our digital democracy mission, and can show a solid understanding of resident engagement and public governance. This is why we’re all here!

  • You are very fluent in English, both in writing and verbally. Proficiency in other European languages (esp. German, Dutch, French) is a plus, too.

  • A strong plus is your proven track record of working in both the North American and Western European markets.

  • You are a strategic thinker and can successfully connect the dots. You excel at designing go-to-market strategies, approaching this in a structured way, and involving multiple stakeholders.

  • You are tech-savvy and analytical, keen on automating wherever possible, and familiar with technical/digital marketing channels (incl. SEO and SEA).

  • You are a relationship builder who loves to spar both internally and externally and bring ideas from start to finish.

  • You are hungry to learn and teach, embodied through an empathetic and collaborative leadership style.

  • You have a hands-on attitude, love running experiments and re-iterate upon data insights, and come with creative ideas for new growth.
