We’re hiring an experienced Business Development Manager driven to bring new cities on board in the Netherlands, from first contact through signature.

As our Business Development Manager (BDM) Netherlands, you'll open doors with Dutch municipalities and public sector organisations. You're deeply convinced of the value of community engagement, ready to evangelize our vision of digital democracy to the public sector, and driven to bring new cities on board in the Netherlands, from first contact all the way to signature.
Job requirements
What you’ll own
Own and grow a pipeline of Dutch municipal and public sector prospects, from outbound prospecting and personalized outreach campaigns through to close.
Expand Go Vocal's presence in the Dutch public sector through networking and conferences.
Run discovery calls, demos, and proposals for participation, communications, and policy teams negotiating terms and closing contracts.
Build relationships with civil servants, project leads, and elected officials, multi-threading across stakeholders, to keep deals moving towards closing.
Keep Salesforce accurate and contribute to forecasting, territory planning and reporting
Collaborate with our international team and Government Success to localize outreach and ensure a smooth handover.
Collaborate with our marketing and GTM team to increase the conversion of our ABM campaigns in the market.
What we expect from you
Must-haves:
You have 5+ years of experience in a role with a sales focus, ideally within the SaaS industry.
You adopt a consultative selling approach and can show a proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
You have a natural curiosity, are pragmatic, and to the point.
You are an enthusiastic and empathic storyteller, able to convey this through phone, email, and in-person communication.
You know how to manage timelines, coordinate projects, and structure your own work.
You have a clear growth mindset and a bias towards immediate action and results. You are used to openly reflect on your own approach and progress.
You are based in the Netherlands. Our global team is used to working remotely together.
You are fluent in Dutch and English.
Nice-to-haves:
Knowledge of the Dutch local government sector.
A background in political sciences, or experience working at a local government.
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Outreach) and digital sales tools (Linkedin Sales Navigator)
